Health Career and Regional Employment (CARE)

Healthcare AllianceHealth Career and Regional Employment (CARE) Project supplies employers in the healthcare industry the highly skilled and competent workforce needed to fill current and projected job openings.

Employers taking part in the CARE project must commit to employ participants on the first day On-the-Job training begins. During the training period, HealthCARE employers (dependent on size) can receive 50-90% wage reimbursement for employing an eligible CARE project participant. On-the-Job training consists of a training period at 40 hours per week or less with a maximum reimbursement rate up to $5,820. All project participants must be a new hire; individuals currently employed in an identified HealthCARE occupation are not eligible to participate in the CARE project.

The following positions qualify for the CARE project:

  1. Medical & Health Services Managers
  2. Registered Nurses
  3. Occupational Therapists
  4. Physical Therapists
  5. Speech-Language Pathologists
  6. Medical & Clinical Laboratory Technologists (including Phlebotomists)
