FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 9, 2014 – NCWWDB Announces Ray Rogers as its New Business Services Specialist

Stevens Point, WI -The North Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board (NCWWDB) is pleased to announce Ray Rogers has been hired as the new Business Services Specialist of its organization.

Ray RogersIn his new position, Ray Rogers joins the Business Services Team under the direction of its Employer Services Director, Bruce Trimble. Rogers will be responsible for working with area employers, technical colleges, and training participants in the development of customizing training programs.

Previous to this position, Rogers served for several years as NCWWDB’s Special Projects Coordinator—a limited, contracted position with NCWWDB. This former role made it a natural choice for the Board to hire Rogers and have him continue to work as its liaison between employers, WIA case managers, participants, and the technical college’s short-term, NCWWDB-funded training projects.

Roger’s has 15 years of past experience as an Employment & Training Case Manager in the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Dislocated Worker Program with the Labor, Education and Training Center (LETC) and is a certified “National Association of Workforce Development Professional”.

Prior to his experience in WIA, Rogers worked in the metal manufacturing environment as a machinist and welder-fabricator for over 30 years.  Dislocated from J.I. CASE in 1993, he was appointed to work in CASE’s outplacement assistance center for two years funded through the Department of Labor’s Special Response Grant and a Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Grant. That’s when Roger’s was first introduced to LETC’s Program Director, Cindy Kiesling and the WIA Dislocated Worker Program.

Born in Rice Lake, Rogers now resides in Wausau with his wife Cheryl. He attended Northcentral Technical College in Wausau and enjoys hunting, fishing, trap shooting, and spending time with his four grandchildren. Contact Ray Rogers at or 715-321-1202.
